x402z is a privacy-first payment protocol designed for the autonomous machine economy.

Developed by Mind Network in deep collaboration with Zama, it addresses the fundamental conflict between blockchain transparency and the strategic needs of AI Agents.

By leveraging Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) and the ERC-7984 Confidential Token Standard, x402z enables agents to execute transactions without revealing their commercial intent.

The Transparency Paradox

Blockchains achieved global verification by making all data visible. This "Digital Panopticon" forces AI Agents to operate on public ledgers where every financial movement is permanently exposed.   • Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE): FHE allowing computation on encrypted data without decryption.

  • ERC-7984 Standard: A confidential token standard where validators verify the truth of a transaction without viewing raw balances or amounts.

Workflow

The x402z protocol transforms how Agent-to-Agent (A2A) payments occur through the following steps:

  1. The Agent encounters a 402 Payment Required gateway.

  2. It autonomously generates a ZAMA-encrypted payment instruction.

  3. Mind Network’s FHE Validation Network executes the calculation in a Zero Trust environment.

  4. The payment settles and the data flows.
